Tom Spendlow qualified as a solicitor at the same time as he joined the firm.
Tom was trained by Sue Rands and often shadowed Sue on the majority of cases during his training contract. He has the benefit of Sue's expertise and family law knowledge.
During his training contract Tom worked on complex public law cases alongside Sue, other solicitors, barristers and was led by Kings Counsel in a particular complex care proceedings case.
This has provided Tom with the necessary skill set to progress as a solicitor. Tom also conducts his own advocacy and is committed to getting the best outcome he can for his clients.
As of 6th October 2025, Tom has been accredited with the Law Society’s Children accreditation meaning he is now a member of the Children Panel for England & Wales and represents children in public law proceedings
Tom now accepts instructions from parents in public children and private children law matters, instructions from Cafcass to represent children and instructions on divorce and financial matters.
